Dentures are removable appliances designed to replace missing teeth.  Dentures are used when a patient is missing all of their teeth or needs to have all of the teeth removed because they are no longer functional.

The process for constructing a denture involves several appointments to ensure that the fit is just right and the teeth look natural.  At the first appointment, a mold of the upper and lower jaw is taken.  This mold is used to make an impression tray that is custom fitted for each patient.  At the second appointment, the custom fitted tray is used to make an extremely accurate mold of the upper and lower jaw to ensure a precise fit.  At the next appointment, the doctor uses a custom fitted wax tray to determine the correct size and placement of the teeth.  At the third appointment a trial set of dentures is tried in to ensure that the bite is correct and that the teeth look natural.  At the fourth appointment, the dentures are complete and provided to patient. The fit and bite are checked and any necessary adjustments made.
